Team Ninja Developing Five For Xbox 360

Team Ninja Developing Five For Xbox 360

"Five Xbox 360 games on the way, hopefully more, was the conclusion to be drawn from an interview with Team Ninja’s Tomonobu Itagaki, printed in Famitsu magazine.

According to the bigwig’s words, the company’s current Xbox 360 production schedule is merely a ’road map’, with plans/hopes/desires to develop much more for Microsoft’s next-gen console.

In the interview, Itagki-san also revealed that the upcoming volleyball sequel DOAX2 would feature another main (and as yet unnamed) sport alongside its traditional foray of spiking balls on a beach, plus an improved casino element and re-jigged controls.

As for fellow Dead Or Alive spin-off Code Cronus, this game will not be a kid’s game, as originally suggested from a dodgy bit of mis-translation. Instead, it will merely be of the gaming genre ’Kudomo’, which translates to ’Child’ in English. What the hell that is though, is anyone’s guess. Duelling with rattles, perhaps?

Finally, original title Project Progressive is an action game which represents a departure for the studio, Dead Or Alive 4 is the fourth instalment of the cleavage-happy brawler (duh!), and as for the unnamed fifth title, it’s well, still unnamed.

Apparently, it can’t be properly announced until the mystery wrestler of Dead Or Alive 4 is unveiled. Fellow ’net reporter IGN suggests that it probably won’t be Ninja Gaiden 2 though, not that there is necessarily much grounding to reinforce this assumption. Whatever it is, expect it to be pretty exciting. And probably quite violent."
