Tree middleware for PlayStation 3

"SpeedTree RT, the leading real-time foliage middleware for the videogame industry is to be made available for PlayStation 3 developers.

Under a Tools & Middleware license agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. the SpeedTree RT middleware will be available to PlayStation 3 developers. Interactive Data Visualization, Inc will license the middleware for PlayStation 3 at $9,995US per title, with a free, fully functional evaluation version available for customers to try out first.

'SpeedTree's ability to quickly bring beautiful, wind-blown and efficient foliage to real-time titles makes it ideal as a middleware choice for the ground-breaking graphical excellence of 'PLAYSTATION 3',' said IDV Vice President Michael Sechrest.
