"Infinium Labs has been trying to move their Phantom Game Service off the ground for several years, but every week there's more and more troubling news coming out of the company. Kevin Bachus resigned from the post of CEO, CFO, president and a director last week, and Greg Koler has temporarily stepped into his place.
Other than "pursing other opportunities," no reasons for Bachus' departure were in the company's statement. "I'd like to thank Kevin for his past support and wish him well with his future endeavors. A lot of that support has helped put our operational planning on track and has helped create awareness for the company in the industry," says Koler.
Koler was reportedly chosen for this 15 years of experience in the broadband gaming and interactive TV services industries from his work with Softbank Broadband media in Europe and Japan, FTA Communication Technologies and European mobile company Vox Mobile Communications. More notably for gaming, however, Kohler was also one of the founding directors of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
There's still no release date for Phantom, with the website only promising an all-too-vague coming soon for a service that's supposed to let you game "on a whole new level."" [
