Sakaguchi's Xbox 360 games not playable at TGS?

Sakaguchi's Xbox 360 games not playable at TGS?

"The Ex-Square producer casts doubt that either Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey will be on display at the Tokyo Game Show in September.

Gamers hoping to get their hands on Hironobu Sakaguchi's Xbox 360 titles at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show will probably have to wait a bit longer. In an interview published in the latest issue of Famitsu, the legendary game designer implied neither of his two 360 role-playing games--Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey--will be playable at September event in Japan.

Sakaguchi told the magazine his projects are progressing smoothly at the current time. "The screen is starting to get developed, and we've been able decide on the orientation of its graphics, and what kind of lighting and effects we want. We're currently in the process of making tons of [additional] graphics," commented Sakaguchi. "Lost Odyssey is progressing about the same. The characters are starting to move in the game screen little by little, and we're figuring out where we want to go with its graphics."

Sakaguchi said a lot of information will be released at the end of the year, including designer Akira Tokiyama's character illustrations from both games. Neither of Sakaguchi's games is slated for a simultaneous launch with the Xbox 360. In a previous interview, he commented that one will ship within a year of 360's launch, while the other will be released within two years."
