"A new survey of Japanese consumers has shown massive expectation for the launch of PlayStation 3, with Xbox 360 still way behind.
The survey, published by Nikkei, revealed that 70% of relevant consumers are "interested in buying PlayStation 3". It also found that 65% of the target audience are excited about next generation consoles and games, compared with just 30% a year ago.
Of those consumers who plan to buy a console, 72% are opting for PlayStation 3, 22% for Nintendo Revolution and 6% for Xbox 360. However, it's not all bad news for Microsoft. A similar survey in July found that only 2% of consumers were interested in its machine.
60% of prospective PlayStation 3 owners said they will buy the machine even if it costs more than 20,000 yen (about $200) while only 35% of prospective Revolution owners feel the same way."
If Xbox 360 ends up being the better of the leading two, it will be a sad sad day in Japan. Must be some major fan boy action at play with those percents. I may be siding with the 360 here, but atleast I see both side of console war. I can't wait and see untill both mechines are out. Then and only then people con stop saying which is better based on some hear-say.
