Treasure Promises Shooter for X360

"Thoughts of Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga dance in our heads.

The Xbox 360 won't be without its shoot 'em ups -- that's for sure. Treasure, the maker of Radiant Silvergun, widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters ever created, has announced that its top secret Xbox 360 project is an original shooting game. The game is currently without a release date.

'Original' would suggest that we can count out Radiant Silvergun 2 or Ikaruga 2. Also, given the company's recent admissions in an interview with IGN, a 2D sprite-based game is out of the question. However, a game featuring 2D gameplay and 3D visuals -- not unlike Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun -- might be on the mark."
