Gamers Storm MTV
"MTV's first-ever 'GameØRZ' week will have game related programming hitting MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV.com and other channel outlets.
MTV has continued to court gaming audiences (and advertisers) having been receptive to publishers creating videogame-related content for their networks (Behind the Game, Video Mods, etc.). This gets carried to a new level during the week of November 20, where 'GameØRZ Week' will focus many of its shows on videogame lifestyles, competitions, hardware and the games themselves. It's convenient how this week coincides with the release of Xbox 360, no?
“Video games are at the forefront of our audience’s daily lives just like music, fashion and movies,” said Christina Norman, President, MTV. “‘GameØRZ Week’ will be a multiplatform entertainment experience for gamers that will showcase the touch points where music, stars, and video games intersect with youth culture.”" [more]
