With only about 40% of Xbox 360 consoles sold at the Japanese launch, Microsoft is hoping for a sharp turn around with the release of Dead Or Alive 4.
The weak Xbox 360 sales have been blamed thus far on the lack of software titles available that appeal to quite a finicky crowd. Microsoft and Tecmo hope to turn this around with Dead Or Alive 4, the successor of the Japense smash DOA3 for the original Xbox. Even if Dead or Alive 4 sells well on the Xbox 360, Microsoft will need to keep the momentum with a consistent release of desirable games. The software giant has entered into agreements with Square-Enix and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi's Mistwalker Studios to create exclusive RPG content for the Xbox 360." [link]
