"Leading games company Electronic Arts claim the one-handed controller for the new Nintendo Revolution could change the face of gaming.
The new console, which is expected to be released in late 2006 or early 2007, comes packaged with an innovative new controller, which looks like a television remote control.
The device features a built-in motion-sensor, allowing players to play games by waving it around in front of the screen.
And John Schappert, who runs Electronic Arts studios in Canada, claims the controller is genuinely "revolutionary".
He told the BBC: "We've got hands on with the Revolution and, sure enough, the controller is revolutionary.
"It is a control device unlike anything else we have played before."" [
