Nintendo's Revolution to be released in May 2006

Nintendo's Revolution to be released in May 2006

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us"Nintendo's answer to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 is set to be made available 6 months from now, in May of 2006. The Revolution console has been in development for a long time, and has had many sites and fans dedicated to following it and its impending release. Details from Nintendo have been few and few in between, with only glimpses of what awaits the console market. Some key features cited have been the ability to play all Gamecube games off their original discs and the ability to play legacy SNES and NES games on the console as well, a big plus for retrogamers looking to step up. It sports an IBM CPU and an ATI GPU, said Intel at GDC 2005. You can read more details about it at Nintendo's site. Xbox360 has beaten both the PS3 and the Revolution to market, now the fans get to see if the wait will be worth their while, with both Nintendo's and Sony's consoles arriving in the same month next year." From earlier reports the Nintendo Revolution was going to be revealed in May 2006. Not actually released. This article uses the term "made available", so I don't think that means an actual launch.
