"Teaser trailer from Tetsuya "REZ" Mizuguchi's next-gen title reveals epic fantasy action
In the wake of last month's info and screen action (see here) focussing on Tetsuya Mizuguchi's Xbox 360 venture N3: Ninety-Nine Nights comes a delicious N3 teaser trailer that's got epic fantasy action written all over it.
Mizuguchi-san in developing N3: Ninety-Nine Nights in conjunction with Korea-based Phantagram (responsible for the Kingdom Under Fire series). The Xbox 360 title is said to thrust gamers into an intense human drama about conflict between light and the dark with the new trailer depicting something like a steroid-boosted version of the Kingdom Under Fire games.
In terms of plot, N3: Ninety-Nine Nights sees it's world ripped apart when magical orbs balancing the powers of light and dark are shattered, casting the land into... ninety nine nights of darkness. Staggering numbers of on-screen combatants are promised in truly epic battles between warring armies, players strapping on the armour of one of a number of characters who will each have their own storyline and perspective of unfolding events.
It sounds utterly fantastic. We imagine it'll be akin to getting down and dirty in the massive battles from the recent The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, and it seems like there'll be plenty of replay value to boot." [

This seems to be a very different style of game from Mizuguchi compared to Rez and Lumines. Usually his games have something to do with music, and here we have what appears to be a middle-ages war game. Time will tell, I guess.

This is a departure from his traditional games. Looks very good though.
